Ballymoe FC Pitch Opening

Ballymoe FC have issued the following press release following the opening of their new all-weather pitch at the weekend.

Ballymoe FC is delighted to announce that it has received funding of €10k from the Football Association of Ireland in grant funding following a visit to the club of FAI CEO John Delaney.

John visited the club on Sunday afternoon after he was forced to make changes to a busy schedule, due to visits to a number of clubs over the weekend.

The club was presented with 50 tickets for a Rep of Ireland match and received funding for the development of All Weather Football Pitch.

We are delighted that John has committed to returning to the club again later in the year, and we look forward to welcoming him back to turn on floodlights.

Castlerea Celtic win The Herald RDFL Shield Castlerea Celtic took up where they left off last season by winning the first silverware of the season on Saturday in Ballymoe.

The Herald RDFL Shield Ballymoe FC, on the occasion of the opening of their new pitch, will hold last season's double winners Castlerea Celtic in The Herald sponsored RDFL Shield on Saturday 27th August at 6pm.
