Ballymoe FC, on the occasion of the opening of their new pitch, will hold last season's double winners Castlerea Celtic in The Herald sponsored RDFL Shield on Saturday 27th August at 6pm.
The annual Shield game heralds the start of the new season with all three divisions kicking off the following weekend. The game between neighbours Ballymoe FC and Castlerea Celtic promises to get the season off to a flying start.
