Castlerea Celtic win The Herald RDFL Shield

With Ballymoe hosting the final on the day that their fabulous new all-weather pitch was opened, there was a real carnival atmosphere. Castlrea's Peter Farrell scored the only goal of the game to give Castlerea victory in a well contested game.

All three league divisions kick-off this coming weekend. Premier Division champions, Castlerea Celtic begin the defence of their title away to newly promoted Brazukas. Last years division one champions, Shiven Rovers, begin their campaign at home to Skyvalley Rovers.
