Ballinasloe Town and St Peter's Athlone continue their battle for the Roscommon and District League Championship following wins over Boyle Celtic and Shiven Rovers respectively.
Ballinasloe Town beat Boyle Celtic 3 – 1 at Ballinasloe. The home side went 3 - 0 up with goals from Liam Lynch before Dylan Edwards pulled a goal back for Boyle Celtic in the second half.

St Peter's share the lead with Ballinasloe Town but they have three games left to play, one more than Ballinasloe Town. They beat Shiven Rovers 4 – 1 at Newbridge. Frankie Kilcommins gave Shiven a 1 – 0 lead with a well struck penalty kick. The visitors equalised through Garvan Broughal just before half time.The game as a contest ended after fourty eight minutes when St Peter's were awarded a penalty kick which was converted by Darragh Concannon and Shiven had a player sent off. Mark McConnell and John McCrossan added two more before the end.

Castlerea Celtic remain in third place four points behind the leaders. They beat a very young Ballaghaderren side 9 – 2 at Ballaghaderreen. Peter Farrell scored his first of three goals after seven minutes and defender Jack Higgins added a second three minutes later. Paul Mee added three more and Dominic Bligh and Patrick Egan added one each. Gerry Ward and Rhys Keegan scored for the losers.

Skyvalley Rovers eased their relegation worries with a 1 – 0 win over Moore United at Falty Park, Moore. Playing against the wind in the first half the winners took the lead thanks to a good run and volley by Michael Donoghue. There were few chances created by either side in the second half but the Moore keeper Paul Whelan did make a few good saves near the end.

Ballymoe FC beat Dysart 2 – 0 at Ballymoe. Damien Goggins scored for Ballymoe in the first minutes and while the winners had a player sent off in the second half they held out until the last minute when Damien Goggins added a second.

In the last round of games in Division One Champions Kilkerrin United were beaten 2 – 1 by Ballinasloe Town at Kilkerrin. Keith Mahon gave the losers a goal advantage after only five minutes of play but two quick scores from Malcolm Flannery and Owen Keighery gave the visitors a half time led. Ballinasloe defended well in the second half to take all three points.

Strokestown United secured promotion to the Premier Division with a 1 – 1 draw at home to joint third placed Hodson Bay Athletic. David Neary scored for Strokestown United and Shane Smyth replied for the Kiltoom side..

Ahascragh United and CP Ajax drew 1 – 1 at Tarmon. Shane Finnerty for Ahascragh and Thomas Hanly for the Castleplunket side scored the goals.

Lough Harps and Dunmore drew 1 – 1 at Ballinlough. James Maloney scored for Dunmore Town.

Moylough 79 made it two wins out of two played over the weekend and they now go top of Division Two. Their last League game of the season away to Rahara Rovers will decide who are Division Two Champions.

They beat Castlerea Celtic Celtic 7 – 0 at Cloonfad. Adam Connolly struck after three minutes and he added a second and Alan Conway a third before half time. After the break Mike Foley, Airidas, Gerard Donoghue and Adam Connolly added four more for Moylough.

In their second outing Moylough beat Skyvalley Rovers 4 – 0 at Onagh Park Taughmaconnell. James Fahy, Adam Connolly, Airidas and Mike Kelly scored for the winners with all the goals coming in the first half.

Rahara Rovers are just a point behind Moylough and they have to beat Moylough in their last game at Rahara. They beat Boyle Celtic 6 – 1 at Rahara. Shane McCormack broke the deadlock when he scored for Rahara after twenty-three minutes. Marcos converted a penalty kick two minutes later and Vando made it 3 – 0 with forty-four played. Shane McCormack, Liam Kenny and Danilio added three more before Conor Deery replied for the losers.

Cam Celtic beat Shiven Rovers 4 – 0 at Cam to secure third place. David Cunniffe scored three and Adrian McDonnell one for Cam Celtic.

Roscommon United beat Glen Celtic 4 – 2 at Glenamaddy. Ryan McHugh gave the home side an early lead. Carl Garvin levelled the game with a stunning strike from a placed ball. Enda Lannon and Michael Curley added two more for the winners before half time. Ryan McHugh scored a second for the Glenamaddy side before Carl Garvin added a fourth for Roscommon United.
