Castlerea Celtic beat title holders Ballinasloe Town 3 – 1 at Castlerea. Ballinasloe Town had a player sent off before half time but still leveled the game after seventy minutes of play thanks to a Mark Duffy goal. Ronan Curran restored the Castlerea Celtic lead nine minutes later after a well worked move. David Fitzpatrick made sure of the three points when he scored a third after good play by Martin Foster and Aaron Keane.

Skyvalley Rovers made it two wins out of three played when they beat the Milltown Dunmore side M D Town 2 – 1 at Taughmaconnell. Overall the losers were slightly the better side but were denied a win by a brilliant finger tip save by the Skyvalley keeper Owen Hardiman an excellent last ditch tackle by Owen Glennon. With fifteen played a free kick by Tommie Wrynne came off the underside of the Skyvalley cross bar and was cleared. Good work by Ethan Keogh after fifty five minutes forced a hand ball from an MD Defender and Keogh scored from the resultant free kick. With twelve minutes left to play Tommie Wrynne waltzed past two defenders before planting the ball in the Skyvalley Rovers net. Calum Manhire came very close to giving M D the lead with six minutes remaining but was denied by Owen Glennon. Just when it looked like the game would finish level Will Redmond crossed from the left wing and the ball rebounded off a defender into the M D Town net.
