RDFL Round-up

The Roscommon and District League Premier Division side Ballaghaderreen made the long journey to the Wexford side Ferns United whom they played in the fifth round of the FAI Junior Cup. Unfortunately for them they were beaten 4 - 1 by the Wexford side.
The visitors started well and Dylan Edwards game them a 1 - 0 lead after thirty two minutes of play. The physically stronger Ferns side were level before half time. Early in the second half Ferns were awarded a free kick when a clear dive was rewarded with a free kick from which ferns scored. Ballaghaderreen had the majority of play for the remainder of the game but any hope of a come back was ended when one of their players was sent off much to the surprise of the travelling supporters and players. Ferns added two more before the end.

All the remaining games were postponed due to bad weather.
