Roscommon and District League Round Up
Kilkerrin United go top of the premier Division of the Roscommon and District League following a comfortable 5 – 1 win over Castlerea Celtic at Kilkerrin. The leaders are one point better off than Boyle Celtic and two ahead of Ballinasloe Town but have a game more played. The winners got off to a good start with Brian Miskell giving the lead after six minutes of play. Jonathan Ryan added a second eleven minutes later. Castlerea Celtic got their game going and Peter Farrell pulled a goal back with twenty played. However their hopes of a comeback were shattered when Brian Miskell added his second. In the second half Oisin Hynes scored for the home side with seventy three played and Kieran Gannon completed the scoring with four minutes of play remaining.

Ballinasloe Towns second side continue to lead Division 1 after an impressive 5 –2 win over Shiven Rovers at Newbridge, Joey O Brien and Lucas Matheus Soares Costa scored two each with Des Hope heading the fifth. Padraig Keating and Keith Murphy replied for the losers

In Division 1 St Cuans / Ahascragh United continued their impressive form of late with an impressive 4 – 2 win at home over a good Ballaghaderreen-The home side were 2 – 0 ahead at the break and despite a much better half from the visitors St Cuans / Ahascragh United held on for a morale boosting win.
Colin Concannon scored two, one from open play and the second from the penalty spot. Liam O Connor and Omar Dalton added two more after the break. Christopher Dunne scored for the fifth game in succession and Rory Callaghan added a second for the losers.
