Roscommon and District League Round Up
With the leaders Kilkerrin United not playing Boyle Celtic closed the gap on the Premier Division leaders to a single point with a game less played. Boyle Celtic travelled to Ballaghaderreen on Sunday and found themselves 2 – 0 down at Half Time. However the old saying 2 – 0 is a bad place to stop soon came into play as Boyle Celtic ended this thrilling game 3 – 2 winners. Danny Browne gave Ballaghaderreen a 1 – 0 lead after fifteen and a stunning strike from Gavin Conway stretched their lead with thirty eight played. In the second half Finbar Cregg scored two and Darren Foley one for the winners.
Ballinasloe Town are a point behind Boyle Celtic following a hard earned 2 – 0 win over old rivals Ballymoe F C at Ballinasloe. Daragh Concanon converted a penalty kick for the home side to give them a half time lead. A bizarre own goal with six minutes remaining sealed all three points for the Ballinasloe side.
Moore United had a convincing 6 – 1 win over bottom side Cloonfad United at Moore and they go into fourth spot in the points table. .Jayden Tumulty gave the home side a perfect start when he scored after two minutes but Cloonfad United were level after fifteen minutes thanks to Kurt Reinhardt. With Cloonfad United missing many of their regular players Moore were on top for most of the remainder of the game. Alan Duffy scored three and Alex Shalli and Charles Nevin added one each before the end.
In Division 1 Dunmore Town scored a very late equaliser to earn a point from a 3 – 3 draw at home to Glen Celtic. Ethan Coen scored for the home side when he got on the end of a long free kick with twenty five played. Jason Connelly levelled the game eleven minutes later. Michael Geary volleyed a second for the Glenamaddy side with sixty five played but within ten minutes Tom Forde replied for the Dunmore side. Glen Celtic retained the lead almost straight from the kick off with Ryan Mc Hugh heading in from six meters. Just when it looked like a win for the visitors Michael Gerard Davis levelled with the last kick of the game.
In Division 2 Cam Celtic were surprisingly beaten 2 – 1 at home to Ballaghaderreen. Christopher Dunne gave Ballaghaderreen a 1 - 0 half time lead. Gareth Mulligan levelled the game when he scored for Cam Celtic but with fifteen minutes left to play Sean Smyth scored the winner for the Eoin Egan managed Ballaghaderreen side
Skyvalley Rovers remain top of the points table after beating second placed Dunmore Town at Onagh Park Taughmaconnell. The home side were slightly the better side and scored the only goal of the game with sixty minutes played. A close range shot from Richard Browne struck the defenders arm and David Grehan converted the resultant spot kick.

St Cuans /Ahascragh United had a morale boosting 3 – 2 win over Cloonfad United at Ahascragh. Colin Concannon scored all three goals for the winners. Darren Keadin and Daniel Fagan scored for Cloonfad United.
