Roscommon and District League round up by Vincent Brookes.

Title holders St. Peter's remain unbeaten in the Premier Division of the Roscommon and District League following their 3 - 1 win over Shiven Rovers at Newbridge.
David Donoghue gave the more clinical St. Peter's the lead after thirty seven minutes of play and Mark Sherlock added a second just before half time.
David Donoghue added his second with fifty three played and Keith Murphy pulledd one back from the penalty spot with seventy three played but they failed to get nearer the winners.

Kilkerrin United had an impressive 5 - 2 win over second placed St Johns Athletic at Kilkerrin. Liam Boyle gave the home side the perfect start when he scored in the first minute of the game. Keith Mahon added a second for Kilkerrin with eight played. Tommy Hurrley pulled a goal back for the Lecarrow side after thirty five and the same player levelled the game with ten minutes played in the second half. However Declan Murphy converted a penalty kick for Kilkerrin seven minutes later and Oisin Hynes and Shane Walsh added two more to give the home side a somewhat flattering 5 - 2 win.

Ballinasloe Town (pictured) pulled off an impressive win in the third round of the New Balance sponsored FAI Junior Cup when the beat Carbury F C ,who are the current Sligo Chapions, at Ballinasloe. With Joe Woods Garry Egan and Padraig Moloney just some of the outstanding players for Ballinasloe Town they won a penalty shoot out 4 - 2 after the sides finished 0 - 0 after extra time.

In an all Roscommon and District League clash at Castlerea the home side beat fellow premier Division side Boyle Celtic 2 - 1 to advance to round four of the FAI Junior Cup.
Ronan Curran gave Castlerea Celtic a 1- 0 lead when he converted a penalty kick with fifty four played. Cian Mc Keon levelled the game with seventy four played but within two minutes Peter Farrell scored the winner for Castlerea Celtic.

Skyvalley Rovers traveled to the fancied MCR who are the second best side in the Sligo League. A combintion of outstanding saves from the home keeper and an own goal and a penalty kick resulted in Skyvalley Rovers being beaten 4 - 0.

Ballymoe F C travelled to Sligo and were unfortunate to be beaten 5 - 3 after extra time by the Sligo Super League side Merville United.
The Sligo side got off to a great start and were 2 - 0 up early in the game. Ballymoe fought back and Damien Goggins and Michael Kenny levelled the game before half time. The home side went in front 3 - 2 but once again Ballymoe came back and Mark Kilcomins sent the game to extra time. However Merville scored two more in extran time to advance to the next round.

Cloonfad United hold on to top spot in the Norio's sponsored Division 1 after beating the Castleplunket side C P Ajax 2 - 0 at Cloonfad. The sides were well matched for most of the game before Conor Flynn gave Cloonfad a 1 - 0 lead with seventy six played. Sean Burke added a second in the last minute of normal time.

Dysart are two points behind the leaders but with a game less played. They had a good 1 - 0 win away to Ballaghaderreen F C. Niall Corbett scored the only goal of the game from close range with twenty minutes left to play

Rahara Rovers beat Roscommon United 2 - 1 at Roscommon. Eze scored both goals for the Rahara side. Jamie Bracken replied for the home side.

Ahascragh United improved on recent performances but still lost 3 - 2 to Cam Celtic at Ahascragh.
Pat Mongan gave the home side a 1 - 0 lead after seventeen minutes of play but Gareth Mulligan levelled the game with thirty player. Mulligan added a second three minutes later. With Ahascragh pushing for an equaliser Cormack Harney broke away to make it 3 - 1 for Cam celtic. Shane Furey waltzed past four defenders in the last minute of the game before scoring a second for the losers but Cam held out for the win.

Glen Celtic stretched their lead t the top of the Hanley Quaries sponsored Division 2 following their impressive 3 - 0 win over Ballinasloe Town at Ballinasloe. Ryan Mc Hugh and Michael Heneghan gave the Glenamaddy side a 2 - 0 lead at half time and leading goal scorer Michael henaghan added a second after the break.

Skyvalley Rovers are in second place following a 1- 1 draw at home to St Cuans. Keelan Galvin gave the Taughmaconnell side a 1 - 0 lead just before half time with a well struck free kick and Mark Dowd did likewise for the Castleblaikney side with seventy minutes played.

Cloonfad United drew 1 -- 1 with Ballaghaderreen at Cloonfad. Sean Burke scored for the home side with fourty four played and Fergal Tynan replied for the visitors with fifty three played.

In the remaining game St Johns Athletic beat Roscommon United 6 - 3 at Roscommon. Derek Doyle and Jamie Tiernan scored two each and Mathew Donnelly and David Mc Donnell scored one each for the winners.
Mike Lannon Aaron Langan and an own goal made up the losers total.
