St. Peter's FC (pictured) remain top of the Premier Division of the Roscommon and District League following a 9-1 win over St. John's Athletic at Lecarrow. After playing reasonably well the home side were 3 - 1 down at half time and any hopes of a come back were soon dashed after the break when they had a player sent off. Mark Mc Connell scored four, Mark Hehir three and Darragh Concannon and J P Stephens one each. Jack O Beirne replied for St Johns Athletic.

Castlerea Celtic are in second place five points behind the leaders but with a game less played. They beat an understrength Boyle Celtic side 4 - 1 at Castlerea. Ballaghaderreen are still very much in contention followeng a 12 - 1 win over bottom side Ahascragh United at Ahascragh.
