Ballinasloe Town (pictured) advanced to the fifth round of the New Balance sponsored FAI Junior Cup following a hard earned 2 – 1 win over fellow Premier Division side Castlerea Celtic at Ballinasloe. Darrell Finn and Liam Lynch gave Ballinasloe Town a 2 - 0 lead but just before the break Paul Mee pulled one back. Castlerea Celtic were the better side in the second half but an injury hit home side held out for the win.

League Champions St. Peter’s were beaten 3 – 2 by Carbury FC after extra time at Athlone. The Sligo Super League Champions took the lead after four minutes of play and Noel Mc Gee equalised from the penalty spot three minutes before half time. Darragh Concannon gave Peter’s a 2 – 1 lead with eighty-six played but Carbury levelled the game in time added on. Substitute Ibra scored the winner for Carbury in the first period of extra time. The visitors had three players sent off and St. Peter’s one, all for two bookings each.

Boyle Celtic hold on to top spot in the Raftery's Oakland Hotel sponsored Premier Division of the Roscommon and District League following a comfortable 7 – 2 win over Moore United away at Falty Park. Liam McKillian and James Bolger gave the winners a 2 – 0 half time lead and Michael Corrigan and Enda Smith added two more within fifteen minutes of the restart. Andy Nevin pulled one back for the home side before Danny Browne and Michael Corrigan scored for the winners. Mark Butler scored for Moore before Michael Corrigan completed his hat trick.

Ballymoe FC are just a point behind the leaders after beating Skyvalley Rovers 4 – 3 at Lecarrow. Damien Goggins and Adrian Collins gave Ballymoe a 2- 0 lead before David Grehan pulled one back for Skyvalley Rovers. David Keegan and Micheal Kenny added two more for Ballymoe before David Grehan and Cathal Kelly closed the gap to a single score.

Kilkerrin United continued their good form with a 2- 0 win over Dysart at Dysart. Aidan Kitt scored after thirteen minutes of play and added their second two minutes later.

Shiven Rovers rode their luck before pulling off a 3- 2 win over Strokestown United at Newbridge. Missed chances, particularly in the first half, cost Strokestown dearly. Conor Devaney gave Strokestown a 1 - 0 lead with fourteen played and Michael Doyle levelled the game with thirty played. Conor Devaney added a second with fifty seven played with Keith Murphy converted a penalty kick to level the game with twenty left to play. Aidan McInerney scored the winner for Shiven Rovers with four minutes left to play.

In the Norio's Takeaway sponsored Division One, Moylough 79 continue to hold on the top spot following a 4 – 0 win over Ahascragh United at Ahascragh. Adam Connolly broke the deadlock after thirty-eight minutes and Aridas added a second just before half time. The home side conceded an own goal before Adam Connolly scored his second.

Second placed CP Ajax drew 2 – 2 with Cam Celtic. Daniel Connolly scored for the home side in the first half. Eoin Mc Cormack scored twice for Cam Celtic before Daniel Connolly added his second near the end to win a point for the Castleplunket side.

Ballaghaderreen travelled to Dunmore Town and after a hard game they came away with the three points. Bruce Holten set up Cian McCann and Rhys Keenan to score the two goals for the winners. They are in third place six points behind the leaders but with a game less played.

St. John’s Athletic beat Rahara Rovers 4 – 2 in the local derby game played at Lecarrow. Rahara Rovers were the better side in the opening period but Tommy Hurley scored for the winners after twenty-six minutes. Colm Cunniffe added a second with fifty-five played and Tommy Hurley and Garry Sturgeon made it 4 – 0 with a Marcos goal and an own goal accounting for the Rahara scores.

In the Killeen Sports Grounds Second Division two of the top three teams were beaten with only Glen Celtic winning. They beat Skyvalley Rovers 2 – 0 at Taughmaconnell to go two points clear at the top of the points table. Micheal Geraghty scored in each half to take all three points to Glenamaddy.

Manor United lost 4 – 0 away to Roscommon United. Michael Hanly opened the scoring for the winners and Carl Garvin added a second when he converted a penalty kick. James McDonald and Thomas Hanly added two more to keep the Town side very much in the title race.

Castlerea Celtic were beaten 2 -1 by Cloonfad United. Pierce Kerrane saved a penalty kick in the first half and this was to prove costly for the Castlerea side. Sean Burke converted a free kick with sixty nine played and John Conneely added a second for Cloonfad four minutes later. Kyle Lowrey pulled a goal back for the losers near the end of the game.

Shiven Rovers beat Ballymoe FC 3 - 2 at Ballymoe. Keith Connolly gave Ballymoe a half time advantage After the break Micheal Bury and Jack Gavin scored for the Newbridge side before Mark Kilcommins levelled the game with five to play. Micheal Bury got the winner with two minutes left to play.
