In the Raftery's Oakland Hotel sponsored Premier Division of the Roscommon and District League Castlerea Celtic beat title holders St Peters at Iona Park Athlone. Castlerea Celtic were the better side and deserved their 1 - 0 win. Damien Freyne scored the only goal of the game with a well struck free kick after seventy-eight minutes of play.

Ballymoe FC kept their good league run going when they beat Dysart 4 - 1 at Ballymoe. Keith Moore gave Dysart a 1- 0 lead after three minutes of play but Mark Kilcommins levelled the game with twenty seven played.. John Connaughton headed a seond for Ballymoe and Damien Goggins made it 3 - 1 before half time. David Keegan added a fourth for Ballymoe with sixty-four played and they now share second place with Castlerea Celtic, just a point behind the leaders Boyle Celtic..

Boyle Celtic and Kilkerrin United drew 2 - 2 at Boyle. The visitors took the lead when Aidan Kitt turned in a Keith Mahon cross and added a second when he raced onto a Damien Mahon through ball. The home side came from behind on two occasions with goals from Enda Smith and Shane Batton securing a point.

Cloonfad United had a good 3 - 1 win over Skyvalley Rovers at Onagh Park Taughmaconnell. Good saves from the home keeper Brian Croffey kept his side in the game until he was finally beaten by Shane Fagan with thirty-two played. Shaun Kearney added a second for Cloonfad within a minute of the restart. Mike Donoghue pulled one back for an improved Skyvalley Rovers side but any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Darren O’Malley scored again for Cloonfad with twelve minutes left to play.

Moore United beat Strokestown United 2 - 1 at Strokestown. Charles Nevin gave Moore a 1 - 0 lead after five minutes and a Kevin Finn free kick levelled the game in the second half. Charles Nevin struck the winner for Moore United with five minutes left to play.

Moylough ‘79 and CP Ajax share the lead of the Norio's Takeaway sponsored Division One following impressive wins over St. John’s Athletic and Ahascragh United respectively.

Moylough ‘79 took full advantage of a strong wind in the first half with both Aridas and Dermot Hughes heading goals from corner kicks within a five minute spell. The winners defended well in the second half and James Fahy scored a fine solo goal with twenty minutes left to play to secure all three points.

The Castleplunket side CP Ajax are also unbeaten following a 4 - 0 win over Ahascragh United. Evan Flynn scored two and Daniel Connolly and Gerry Leech added one each for the winners.

Ballaghaderreen were surprisingly beaten 2 - 1 at home by Cam Celtic. Joseph Luby gave Ballaghaderreen a first half lead but Gareth Mulligan struck twice for the winners in the second half and they held on to take all three points.

Rahara Rovers received a walk over Dunmore Town.

In the Killeen Sportsgrounds Division Two, Manor United hold on to top spot in the division following a hard earned 1 - 0 win over Glen Celtic at Glenamaddy. Tom Ward converted a penalty kick for Manor with thirty-three played and his side defended well for the remainder of the game.

Roscommon United are in second place but were held to a 1- 1 draw by a resolute Cloonfad United side at Roscommon. The evergreen Kurt Reinhardt gave Cloonfad United a 1 - 0 lead after twenty-five minutes and Paul Allen levelled the game four minutes before half time.

Castlerea Celtic under Manager Giles Mc Donagh share third place with Glen Celtic. They beat Ballymoe 4 - 0 at Castlerea. Kyle Lowry broke the deadlock when he converted a penalty kick after thirty three minutes of play. Sean Murray, Seamus Stenson and Peter Farrell added three more in the second half.

In an eight goal thriller at Taughmaconnell, St Cuan's United beat Skyvalley Rovers 5 - 3. The Castleblakney side raced into a 3 - 0 lead through Shane Carrick and two from James Ward. However, a much improved home side struck twice in the second half through Jack Moore and John Moore. The turning point came when Jordan O’Leary converted a penalty kick for the winners with Jack Moore for Skyvalley Rovers and Luke Concannon for St Cuan's adding two more near the end of the game.

In the TP Brennan Connacht Cup preliminary round the Galway League side St. Bernard’s beat Ballinasloe Town's second side 1 - 0.
