In the Raftery's Oakland Hotel sponsored Premier Division of the Roscommon and District League Ballinasloe Town snatched all three points from their top of the table clash with Boyle Celtic at Boyle. Leaders Boyle Celtic failed to take the many chances they created and paid the price when the experienced Ballinasloe Town side won a penalty kick at the end of time added on at the end of the game. Liam Lynch converted the spot kick for the undefeated Ballinasloe Town side. Ballinasloe are three points behind the leaders but with two games less played.

Castlerea Celtic beat Moore United 3 – 0 at Castlerea. Peter Farrell gave the home side the perfect start when he scored after three minutes of play. Gerry Ward made it 2 – 0 six minutes before the half time break and the same player added a third when he converted a penalty kick with seventy-two minutes player. Castlerea Celtic are just a point behind leaders Boyle Celtic but with a game less played.

St. Peter’s beat second placed Ballymoe FC 2 – 1 at Willow Park, Athlone. The home side were 1 – 0 up at half time and Henry Odia added a second with fifteen played in the second half. Damien Goggins pulled one back for Ballymoe with fourteen left to play and they came close to getting an equaliser near the end.

Shiven Rovers secured three valuable points when they beat Cloonfad United 3 – 2 at Cloonfad. Andy Glennon converted a free kick to give Cloonfad United a 1 – 0 half time lead. Keith Murphy converted a penalty kick early in the second half to level the game and Aidan McInerney added a second shortly afterwards for Shiven Rovers. Conor Flynn replied for Cloonfad from the penalty spot but Karl Healy scored the winner for the Newbridge side with eight minutes of play remaining.

With their nearest challengers not playing Moylough ‘79 stretched their lead at the top of the Norio's Takeaway Division One points table to eight points. They had a 4 – 0 win over Dunmore Town at Dunmore. Aridas converted a cross in the first half to give Moylough a one goal cushion at half time. Aridas, Sean Kelly and Marcus Finn added three more for the winners in the second half.

In the local derby game at Rahara the home side beat Cam Celtic 2 – 0. With no goals in the first half, Vando opened the scoring five minutes into the second half when he finished off a Shane McCormack free kick. With fifteen left to play Shane McCormack sealed the three points for Rahara Rovers when he added a second.

In the Killeen Sports Grounds Division Two, leaders Glen Celtic were held to a 1 – 1 draw away to Cloonfad United but still hold on to the top spot in the Division. Sean Burke converted a free kick after twenty-four minutes to give Cloonfad a 1 – 0. Michael Heneghan replied for the Glenamaddy side with sixty-one played but they just failed to get a winner.

Second in the table Roscommon United were beaten 4 – 2 at home by Castlerea Celtic who are now just a point behind the leaders with a game less played. Jamie Bracken gave the home side the perfect start after eleven minutes but Kyle Lowrey and Kevin Flannagan struck two for the winners before half time. Eamon Greene made it 3 – 1 in favour of the Castlerea side before Carl Garvin converted a penalty kick to close the gap to a single score. Dominic Bligh sealed all three points when he added a fourth for the winners with ten left to play.

Skyvalley Rovers and Manor United drew 1 – 1 in an entertaining game at Taughmaconnell. Kevin Concannon escaped his markers to give Manor a 1 – 0 half time lead. With ten played in the second half Liam Creavin set Jack Moore free on goal and he was taken down inside the penalty area. Andrew Phelan kept his nerve and scored from the penalty spot.

Shiven Rovers beat new side St. Cuan’s United 3 – 2 at Newbridge. Rory Cunningham scored two and David Kelly one to give the winners a 3 – 0 half time lead. Shiven had a played sent off in the second half and Colin Concannon and Jordan O’Leary pulled two back as the Castleblakeney side came very close to getting a point from the game.

The Ballinasloe Town second team game against Ballaghaderreen was postponed as a mark of respect to the late Mrs Anne O’Grady RIP.
